At Nimax, we believe that theatre should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we’re proud to offer a range of services to ensure our venues and events are inclusive for all.
Access tickets can now be booked online for a wide selection of shows across our theatres. Select your preferred performance below, or explore access seating information on the show’s production page.
By booking through Nimax, access bookers can enjoy up to two seats at a reduced rate, designed to support those attending with a companion or carer (equivalent to ‘Carer Goes Free’). Accessible seating options include:
Wheelchair positions with adjacent companion seats
End of aisle seating located across the auditorium
Central row seating in the stalls
If you require alternative seating or have any questions about access at our venues, our Access team will be happy to help. We look forward to welcoming you to a Nimax Theatre soon.

If you have any questions about accessibility or our services at any of our venues and can’t find the answer here, feel free to speak to us – we’re always happy to help.
During a performance, the action and visual elements of a production are described live through a headset by a trained audio describer so that you can follow what is happening at the same time as the rest of the audience. As your performance date approaches, we will contact you with audio introduction notes and Touch Tour timings, and confirm details of your visit with you.
At these performances, trained describers interpret the speaker or performer in real-time. These interpreters are normally positioned to the side of the stage. Stalls seats close to the signer are reserved.
During a performance, the words are displayed on a screen (or screens), placed near the stage or in the set and can be seen at the same time as they are spoken or sung. Seats with the best view of the screen are reserved for people who are d/Deaf, or hard of hearing. It’s also helpful for those whose first language is not English.
Technical changes (such as adjustments to light and sound effects) are made for those with sensory sensitivities. These performances also allow for noise and movement in the auditorium, a chill-out space for anyone who may need time away from the performance, and re-entry when needed.
